Rosenborg confirm that Mallorca have made an official approach for Frode Johnsen. The bid was however rejected.
"The bid they made was ridiculous low. It was so low that I did not see any reason talking to Frode about it," Rosenborg's director of sports, Rune Bratseth, says.

Yesterday a new there came a new bid from Mallorca. This time it is €600,000, MallorcaDiario claims. (Babelfish translation).
Rosenborg think this is not enough, but the newspaper nevertheless claims Johnsen will sign for Mallorca within hours... |

Let's hope the newspaper - for once - is right. I choose to believe only the newspaper, and not the official statements from RBK. _________________ Rosenborg - Ingen over, ingen ved siden |

To be honest, I really hope we can get rid of Johnsen. He has never been even close to our former strikers like Carew and Rushfeldt. In the moment a guy like Helstad, already here in Rosenborg, is a much better alternative up front for us, I think.
His only quality is his power in the air, he is a very good header. His technique and skills with the ball in his feet are very poor, and since we play with only one striker, Johnsen is in my eyes not good enough for Rosenborg. But I think he might be useful for teams playing 4-4-2. Paired together with a quick, technical he might be some kind of a hit in Mallorca. |

Marca claims that Mallorca president Vicente Grande will try even more agreeing a transfer fee with Rosenborg. This because they will miss Victor (injured) and Luis GarcÃa and Arango (suspended) in the league opening against Deportivo next Sunday.

That's new to me! This has not been mentioned in Norwegian media. How concrete is the interest? Have Sparta made a bid?
I don't think RBK want to sell him, but even if so, I don't think player himself want to move to Praha. |

The most important sentences of the article:
Johnsen je nejvýš na seznamu sparťanských posil pro útok, s přestupem do českého klubu souhlasà a čeká na dohodu mezi kluby.
Johnsen is in the highest position among players (strikers) who are wanted by Sparta, he agree with the transfer and now we wait for the agreement between the two clubs.
Sparta intenzivně jedná o přÃchodu Frode Johnsena z Rosenborgu Trondheim.
Sparta is intensive interested in coming Frode Johnsen from Rosenborg Trondheim.
No bid in the article, mainly Frode´s career _________________ http://www.fb.com/norskyfotbal |

Hm, sorry
Frode said that he know about Sparta's interest from medias. Here (V Norsku jsem Å¡ťastný. Před třemi měsÃci se mi narodil syn, stěhovánà do nové země by bylo o to těžšÃ. Miluju to tady, hraju v nejlepÅ¡Ãm klubu, který jsem kdy poznal.
) is said: I am happy in Norway. 3 months ago my son was born and moving into a new country would be more difficult. I love Norway, I play in the best club I have ever seen...
These are the main opinion of the article. _________________ http://www.fb.com/norskyfotbal |

Sparta Prague would very much like to buy Frode Johnsen, but neither the club nor the player seem to care too much for the interest.

Johnsen was interviewed by Norwegian TV2 tonight, and seemed now much more open for a transfer. He did actually say everything is up to Rosenborg.
Personally I think this might prove Høgmo is making a "white lie"...
What is by the way the main content of this article? |

Kudos to "attach":
Sparta Praha chairman Daniel Kretinsky has confirmed media reports that the club wants to sign Norwegian forward Frode Johnsen. According to Kretinsky, Sparta are making a formal offer for the 31-year-old Rosenborg striker today.

Led by new president Jozef Chovanec, the Sparta Praha squad flew to Spain yesterday, for winter training, without new signing Tomas Repka. The veteran defender, who was officially presented to the press yesterday, is set to join his new team-mates on Thursday. Potential new signing Frode Johnsen is also expected to join the Sparta camp later in the week.

Rosenborg and Sparta never managed to agree on a transfer. Instead they have signed Swiss striker Mauro Lustrinelli from FC Thun.

According to Norways biggest paper, VG, the sum offered is close to 1,1 million Euros. That sounds like a fair price. |

Perhaps changing the title to Frode Johnsen would be better?
And now Nagoya are interested in Johnsen too, supposedly. |

The Japanese club Nagoya Grampus Eight were not able to get Bengt Sæternes from SK Brann. Now they are trying to get Frode Johnsen instead.

Not especially fast or techincally gifted, but is tall, strong and has a knack for being in front of the goal at the right time. But 32 years old so we should sell him. |
