Hello,
My name is Sven, I'm from Belgium and I'm 24 years old. I am passionated with football ever since I know the game exists. During the last years I visited many footballstadia in different country's in Europe, sometimes for a match, sometimes just to visit the stadium.
In the future I am interested in visiting the city of Trondheim and of course Lerkendal Stadion. I only need some more information on how to get to the Lerkendal Stadion and I hope someone here can/will help me.
My questions are:
What is the best way to get from Trondheim Airport Vaernes to the city centre?
When you are in the city centre, how to get to the Lerkendal Stadion by public transport? Which busline(s) to take?
I already thank you for your collaboration!
Sincerly,
Sven |

There are buses right outside the airport that leave all the time for central Trondhjem. They are impossible to miss. As for the stadium, walking there is no problem. Just ask for directions and it takes 30 minutes. |

The final stop for the airport buses is actually at Lerkendal stadion. Just sit still and relax until the driver chases you outside. |

Hi Sven. I am from Belgium too (although I emigrated two years ago and live in the UK now) and a groundhopper as well. It's always nice to see other people caught the stadium passion as well! Enjoy the world's greatest team when visiting the magical RBK _________________ Rosenborg, forever pride of the North!

When did the Norway National Team last play at Lerkendal?
Would it not be a good thing to play a few games outside of Oslo, maybe Trondheim or Bergen.
I remember a few years ago Norway - Iceland was played in Bodo

I remember, I believe is was back in the mid-eighties, I attended a match between Norway and Wales. Since then i think the national team has been here once - in a game against Denmark (I might be wrong on this one).
In the nineties the nationalteam played some matches against Rosenborg, perhaps these were played at Lerkendal. |

Norway lost 1-2 against Denmark at Lerkendal in 1990. Jørn Andersen scored the goal for Norway.. |

Ah... those damn Danes...
I hope the Norwegian FA will move some of the matches to Bergen and Trondheim in the future. They wont lose spectators, cause a normal friendly at Ullevaal has 17-19.000. I bet towns like Trondheim, Stavanger and Bergen can match that. |

Especially against southern European teams not used to harsh winters, playing a bit further north than Oslo would be an advantage to Norway when the game is played outside of summer season.
I think a game in Tromsø would be cool. Would probably be the first ever World Cup/Euro Cup qualifier played above the arctic circle. _________________ Rosenborg, forever pride of the North!

That would be superb in so many ways, it would be a unique game in the history of football.
Maybe Svalbard should get a stadium for the Euro 2016 bid, it would be a unique location to host a European Champs game _________________ Rosenborg, forever pride of the North!
