I became a RBK supporter a few years back watching their Champions League coverage on television here. The announcers would always say that RBK were a smaller club from a weaker league but their ability to stay in touch with so called "bigger clubs" inspired me.

For me, Eddie Johnson is one of the few American players who I believe can really make an impact in Europe. He posseses a great deal of talent for such a young player, 8 goals in 8 international appearances (5 goals in first 3 games) speaks for itself. He netted a 25 minute hat trick after coming on as a substitute against Panama which is a performance that definately sticks out. Last winter he trained with PSV Eindhoven (who already have an American on their books in DaMarcus Beasley) and Manchester United, I'd expect him to make the jump to Europe in the next 2 years.

have a 5 years contract with him on my Rosenborg save on FM Smile.. he are probarly not possible for Rosenborg to get in real life? if teams like PSV and Manchester United are after him.. if he make a great World Cup he will probarly end up in a big club in Europe after the summer.

The World Cup will go a long way toward telling whether he's ready for the jump to Europe. It'd be nice if Rosenborg could get him, because I think his talent would be wasted on the the substitutes bench for a few years if he moved to a big club.

Landon Donovan is a big name in the national side, plays for LA Galaxy in MLS. Good attacking midfielder. He was on the books at Bayer Leverkusen as a youngster, came to MLS with San Jose and then went back last season to try his hand at the Bundesliga again but didn't get enough playing time and left to return to MLS. He might be a little out of our reach but definately a big name.

Youngsters to look out for include Eddie Gaven(MetroStars) and Danny Szetela(Columbus).

Wassup Guys!!I'm Joseph from sunny Singapore.bet there weren't many Asian fans of Rosenborg out here.actually I started out as a Man U supporter because of all the EPL coverage in Singapore and I knew Rosenborg through Champions League coverage.Too bad in Asia they think RBK are in the weaker band of Eurpoean teams,so they hardly cover Champions League games involving RBK.

I beg to differ actually.in European football that are now awash with rich teams who start on a buying spree of the best players,Rosenborg is the only team who could win 13 championships in a row with mainly homegrown talent and still do reasonably decently in europe.I could say they are the best Scandinavian side in Europe given that Swedish and Danish teams don't seem to get very far where Champs League and UEFA Cup is concerned

Erm yeah,that's about it

Hello everybody I'm a young French supporter of RC Strasbourg and Rosenborg.

Mikael Dorsin is my favorite player, he played in Strasbourg before he went to Trondheim, I have checked how RBK has been doing since his arrival, and I have watched every Rosenborg match in the Champions League the last two seasons. I hope RBK will again become Champions of Norway in 2006 and that Micke will play the World Cup in 2006 He deserves it.

Smile RBK

Bonjour Troinndern,

Pas de problèmes, si tu veux que l'on parle de Rosenborg, je suis a ta disposition quand tu veux Smile

Si tu veux on peut en parler sur MSN Messenger, n'hésites pas.

I don't understand Norvegian, somebody tell me if Rushfelt returns to Rosenborg or not ? and if Alexander Odegaard will go on Stavanger ?

Thanks !

Rushfeldt is probably going to Tromsø, if he is released by Austria. Anyway nothing will happen until the summer.
Ødegaard is probably moving on as we signed Essediri from Tromsø.
But nothing will be certain before after christmas, as the player is on vacation and won't be back for personal talks with Viking before.
The clubs seems to almost have agreed. The final talks will not be taken unitl they are certain that Ødegaard is set to sign.
