They are training at the stadium, and I guess the training will be open as usual.

But you might contact Rosenborg up front, telling you are coming: harald.pedersen@rbk.no |

Our best player this season is still suffering from a knee injury: Demidov misses NAC match

Partly because of the injury, Demidov has not played well after the summer holiday, so he is not necessarily a big loss. Nordvik has after all some minutes more experience in European cups than Demidov; both made their debut at this stage against Fiorentina in February.

Pelu and Basma are back from injuries, but lack of training make them just reserves. Jarstein was sick on Sunday, but is fit for fight.

Expected Rosenborg line-up:

Rune Jarstein

Fredrik Stoor - Andreas Nordvik - Alejandro Lago - Roy Miller

Per Ciljan Skjelbred - Alexander Tettey - Didier Konan

Marek Sapara

Yssouf Koné - Steffen Iversen |

About the team NAC Breda then.

Edwin de Graaf (Captain and RM last year) is injured, Elshot (first choice right back) is injured for this game.

It will be our first game against a professional side since last season, so that will be a disadvantage. To be honest, I see RBK as big favorites to go through.

Our team will likely be:

GK: Ten Rouwelaar

RB: Ammi

CD: Zwaanswijk

CD: Penders (captain)

LB: Mtiliga (Danish player, maybe you know him, played for Feyenoord)

RM: Fehér

DM: Kwakman

LM: Stam

RW: Kolkka (Finland international, formerly PSV)

S: Amoah (international of Ghana)

LW: Lurling (declined a move to Heerenveen and extended his contract, one of our best players last season) |

How many players playing in the eeredivsie were on rosters of euro 2008 participants? I know the AJAX striker was there (but did he get much playing time?)

Two players in the norwegian league played in the euros; Roman Kienast for Austria and 'our' Fredrik Stoor for Sweden (he may be sold today...) _________________ Svein Sjovold |

Not that many this time, let's see.

Pranjic (Heerenveen) for Croatia. Heitinga (Ajax now Atletico Madrid), Huntelaar (Ajax), Affalay (PSV), de Cler (Feyenoord), van Bronckhorst (Feyenoord), Affalay (PSV), Engelaar (FC Twente now Schalke 04) and de Zeeuw (AZ) as field players. Henk Timmer (Feyenoord) and Stekelenburg (Ajax) were reserve keepers. |

The training tonight will be somewhat delayed. It starts between 19 and 20 sometime.

Robert Maaskant:

"As a sportsman you always want to win, but the Rosenborg tie comes at an unfortunate time for us," said the 39-year-old, who left MVV Maastricht to replace Brandts this summer.

"We are only in the third week of pre-season training. Rosenborg, who are still a strong team with a lot of Champions League experience, are coming too soon. We will try to get the group fit for the match, but we cannot do much more."

Our new coach is wearing a Willem II t-shirt (our derby rivals, was their coach 2 years ago).

He is right about the game, our league only starts in September (because NL will play at the Olympics).

Feher is injured, Loran will be replacing him. |

NAC seemingly want to try a strange tactic:

Rouwelaar

Ammi - Penders - Zwaanswijk - Loran- Mtiliga

Kwakman

Stam

Kolkka - Amoah - Lurling |

Hmm..our wing backs will be very attacking... Ammi even plays more right winger than recht back (although he can do both).

Loran, Penders and Zwaanswijk will cope with your 2 strikers (who are physical very strong, and Kone quite fast), and Kwakman with your attacking midfielder it says.

Quite logical to do it this way for me, beacuse our 2 right midfielders are sold, we still don't have a new left midfielder and he don't want to bring in a young talent (Gorter) in this match, allthough he is developing quite fast into a first team player. |

According to the live reports Skjelbred and Tettey won the battle of the midfield, forcing NAC to play long passes up front on Lurling and Amoah. The two mentioned forwards made the single goal, when Jarstein didn't hold a poor shot from Lurling, letting Amoah score.

Iversen (thigh) had to give up during warm-up while Koné (thigh) had to be replaced before the break. Without our regular strikers we were quite poor in front of goal, but since NAC were struggling on the midfield, the match was quite even.

Now there will be a dramatic 2nd leg at Lerkendal next Sunday. |

And that's the way we like it..whoohohooohooo

To be honest, your keeper and central defence looked quite poor against Amoah, and your number 8 also (Strand I think, don't had the names of the RBK players during the game) played a bad game.

Number 7 (Koné) looked dangerous but was alone up front... He has a groin strain injury, don't think he can play next week.

Your coach admitted that he was suprised by NAC Breda, because he only saw the play off games (which we lost). maybe little underestimation by RBK then.

Up to the game in Norway then. In the regular season, we were the best away team in the league (befote PSV and Ajax) so think it will be a serious contest for RBK. |
