Hehe. Finding a job in Norway at the moment would be quite difficult I'd imagine for a foreigner. There are possibilities to transfer to Norway if you work for a company that has offices there, for example I work for Aker and finding a job in Norway would be easier for me.
How's Verdal this time of year by the way? |

Why do you think it will be difficult for a foreigner to find a job in Norway? Unemployment is low and to my understanding there is a large demand for labour in most sectors. |

I remember reading last year whilst that foreign workers who have excellent qualifications are working in restaurants and other low paid jobs as they can't find work. Maybe this has changed?
I suppose you might have to accept this when you move to another country, especially with the language barrier at first. |

hope to work at trondheim at some stage in the future myself.
just entered third level here and ireland,so will spend 3years in my course here and then i will head for norway.
i hope the norwegian economy doesnt suffer the same fate as the irish economy.we are now officially in a period of economic recession, first time in 25 years and unemployment is at its highest scale in ten years |

We have the lowest unemployment rate in Europe (2.6%), so I guess it's almost easier to get a job here? |

Not many has lost their job yet in Norway, the main difference is that there is less new jobs available. One year ago there could be 1000 ads for Trondheim on the marketplace finn.no, but atm you only find 300 ads. If you want a job you got to have the right education or experience. There isn't many jobs available for people with low education or low experience. |

Some talk about recession, some about depression. The truth is that problems brings new possibilities. Will you look for them? Some of them are most definitely in Trondheim!
Depending on your personality type I'd say go for it.
Things have a peculiar way of working out just fine. _________________ / Slapp av folkens, det her ordner seg. |
