thought on season:far from spectacular as we only finished 5th.cant put much of the blame at the feet of hamren though as he only came in half way through.season really faded as it drew to a climax.the fact that we wont be playing in europe is a shock to many
best player:steffen iversen
worst player:kjell rune sellin(although he didnt get a look in really)
best result:rosenborg 4-0 lillestrom
rating out of ten: 6/10
aims for next season:nothing other than bringing the title home will do.for a club of our stature its something we should be competing for each year.
who id most like to see at lerkendal next year:vedad ibisevic |

Best player: hard to pick one name in such a messy season. I'll say Strand, and that's enough to summarise how bad it was for RBK... When the best player is 38, it means you're screwed.
Worst player: plenty of choices here. John Pelu was a total disappointment, and his horrible form/skills left the team dangerously understaffed up front. And it showed just tonight against ASSE... Out with Ivers, 0 strikers on the field.
Best result: RBK v DIF 5-0 and RBK-Brøndby 3-2. Two demonstrations of how it is possible to overcome some difficulties
Rating: 4.5/10. Few bright moments in a season of darkness.
Thoughts on season: awful, a total clusterf*ck, without a clear plan in the beginning, Hamren's arrival shook things up a bit, but the papar-thin roster made things even more complicated.
A dreadful mix of aging players, average players and inconsistent young "lions".
At times the heart and the skills of the old guard saved us, fewer times it was the youth and the random glimpse of geniality. Other than that, a gray gray season. Glad it's over. Sorry it'll end up with RBK being at the receiving end of some European ass-kicking.
Goals for next season: a serious and well-thought project. Not a quick fix, not another "transitional year" like this one, where those who were meant to improve the team actually ended up making it worse, or leaving it as it was before. It'll take MONEY, MONEY and MONEY.
Who I would like to see at Lerkendal: I won't throw in names, but I just hope they'll stop bringing in unknown african players (who may or may not perform well or consistently), scandinavians "hot talents" and mediocre Adeccoliga guys. At least not at the rate they've been doing in recent years. |

Pelu didn't play. Traore came in for Iversen. |

I wasn't referring to yesteday's game...
It was a general remark on the whole seasone... Pelu has been virtually useless ('cept the cross for PCS against Brøndby and the ridiculous dive against Viking)
He's the kind of player RBK should avoid like the plague in the next transfer market... the "guy who did kinda well in Adeccoliga, so he HAS to be good for us".
Once upon a time, RBK used to get Norway's hottest prospects, not mediocre players who may or may not be blossom. |

Best rosenborg player: Demidov
Worst rosenborg player: Miller or Savolainen (Harsh on Savo maybe, don't think Tettey is playing to his potential either.)
Best result: Tynset 0-11 Rosenborg.

best Rosenborg player: Stadsgaard
worst Rosenborg player: Miller and Iversen ( lazy and not clinical enough to get away with it, in my opionion a very disappointing season by Iversen).
Best Result: Brøndby - Rosenborg 1 - 2
goals for next season: Progress; and to be more cynical in both attack and defence. Score on our chances and stop letting in silly goals. |

best Rosenborg player: Strand was reliable as usual (but our best player should not be our oldest one, that is not very promising), Stadsgaard was good, during some weeks of the season Iversen and Sapara as well although too inconsistent to win the Man of the Season award
Though not a player I want to give some kudos to Hamren as well as he clearly improved our team on numerous fronts, even despite the poor finish it is thanks to him we were still in the running for the bronze until the end.
worst Rosenborg player: well, Miller was disappointing as said before, I must say I also had expected a more reliable Jarstein in goal but he is a talented guy and I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and give him the chance to prove himself a reliable goalie next season.
Best Result: all European home games except for Brugge. Because at home against NAC, Djurgaardens and Brondby we were finally putting some results when we needed it most, despite the pressure. In Europe we had the consistency we lacked in the league.
goals for next season: playing European football again, so this means top-3 finish. In fact I really want a trophy again, Champions or winning the Cup. But to not have too much pressure and such, lets say that a European ticket at least is a MUST. We should not be out of Europe 2 seasons in a row and we dont have the Intertoto to save ourselves from now on... More consistency is also a demand, as in playing good for numerous games in a row and not just every now and then. But most of all, I want a European ticket so this means top3 finish or Cup win. _________________ Rosenborg, forever pride of the North!
