Well it was a game like it usually is between Lillestrøm and Rosenborg. Very tight and exciting. RBK started best and should have scored, but Lillestrøm came back and was good from about 25-40 minutes of the game. They made a goal from a corner which is pretty usual for Lillestrøm. Then Rosenborg took over the last five of the first half and the beginning of the second where they made a goal. The 2-1 goal came after a LOT of corners. RBK then had o press forward and Lillestrøm made 3-1 on a counter attack. RBK had a huge pressure the last minutes but managed only one goal. Rosenborg and Lillestrøm are the best teams in Norway right now and it was expected to be a tight match. Anyway it was Rosenborgs first loss in 17 matches so lets hope its at least 17 until the next.... |

Recon,
Is this a new Rosenborg record ? - or if not, what is the record (number of games without a loss) and when did it happen ? |

17 without a loss is better than the great season last year. The record, tough, is from 1994-95, under legendary coach Nils Arne Eggen; the team then managed 21.
Throughout 2004 we have lost 4 matches: 2 in the league (Tromsø, Molde), 1 in the UEFA cup (away against Benfica), and now 1 in the cup. |

in 1994 we won the league without losing a single game. 38 games a row!
in that year we also beat Torpedo Moscow 3:2 agg, and we beat Parma away 1-0 (but lost on penalties). |

Agreed. The "21 in a row" is all matches; league, cup and e-cup. We were pretty comfortable in the league tough... |

One point ahead of Tromso? Not the best place to be.... _________________ Svein Sjovold |
