Rothenam? where is that? In the Netherlands?
Do you mean Norway?
Or Trondheim?
Or Rosenborg?
I think we'll win in Trondheim and lose in Haifa. Hopefully we'll score in Haifa, and not let in goals in trondheim. So it's a 50-50 shot.

Rbk will go through with a 2-0 win at home, and 2-1 loss in Haifa! _________________ ----{ROSENBORG}---- |

On paper, the talent on both teams are similar; I'd actually give an advantage to Maccabi Haifa; a lot of local players that play hard for their team and don't give up. However; we are one of the best organized teams in northern europe, we play diciplined in defense and quick counter-attacks. We have played quite well away actually; narrowly losing to Deportivo La Coruna and Benfica; and beating both Red Star Belgrade and Sheriff (although the latter is really no measuring stick for anybody); both Red Star Belgrade and Seriff played us better in Trondheim than away. We are used to going into big, intimidating stadions, and thriving on it
You won't like our physical type of play, we tackle hard, but fair. We don't lay down and act. You probasbly will come away with the notion that you played the better game, but style deceives.
The BIG advantage we have right now is, we are in the middle of our season, and our form curve is starting to peek. We are not rusty before a new season. THAT is the main reason Rosenborg managed to get into CL 8 years in a row before falling to the semifinalist of CL this year, 0-1 in spain. _________________ Svein Sjovold |

What I bet, hmm. 80 % chance to win at home, 15 % for a draw. 20 % chance to win away, 30 % for a draw...
I'll be cautious and say 55-45 for us to win combined. 3-1 win in Trondheim, 1-2 loss in Haifa. |

I think, based on that little marvel of geography, RBK are going to win the home match on walkover. The Maccabi Haifa players will probably be stuck in Rotterdam, asking for directions... _________________ "Engang en ret forvoven Jyde

In 1994, the norwegian national team played mexico in the world cup. It was very hot. We beat them 1-0. They are used to the heat, we aren't.
Just be happy you're not meeting us in late november. -20 degrees. _________________ Svein Sjovold |

I heard Maccabi Haifa will play a friendly game against "a local team" on Saturday. What's the name of opponent? |

i have a question who is better dujgarden (sweden) or rosenborg (norway)?
i think that rosenborg is better than maccabi haifa but we can do it
because we have a 8 international players..
rosenborg can beat maccabi in norway ,if we make 1-1 or 2-2 then we have a chance ,but 2-0 to rosenborg say no chance for us..
2-1 is a good resault! for us 3-2 also , if we did 1-0 in parma and 1-1 in paris and 3-3 in olympiakos we can do a good resault against rosenborg.
anyway i think that we will back from norway with 2-2 and will win in haifa 3-0 ,this year we are a good team and have a new good players . |

Before this season Rosenborg beat Djurgården 5-0 in a pre-season game.
Think that was in march just after the Benfica UEFA-cup games. Also Rosenborg when facing other nordic teams in CL qualification or group play has been the better team over two matches.
In 2000/01 RBK played swedish Helsingborg and won 6-1 at home and loosing 0-2 away.
In 1996/97 RBK played IFK Gøteborg of Sweden winning 3-2 away and
1-0 at home.
These were at group stages.
In qualifiqation in 2002 we beat Brøndby 3-2 away and 1-0 at home.
So RBK is normally the best nordic team. |

I think we can win because we have only 2 international players Never underestimate the locals.
Also worth noting, our 17 most essential players have experience from the National team. |

Were there any foreigners on the team when we beat Borrusia Dortmund 3-0 in Germany (was Janne Saarinen here back then?)
Or when we beat Real Madrid at home 2-0?
Or Milan 2-1 in italy? _________________ Svein Sjovold |

We could not have asked for a better opponent to play! I'm sorry M. Haifa but the road ends here. |

Red Star miles better than Maccabi Haifa? I doubt that very much!
Maccabi Haifa seems to have a record quite similar to Rosenborg's, really -- some great wins against big European teams, and some equally great losses. Haifa knocked PSG out of the UEFA Cup in 98/99, while Rosenborg lost 7-1 to PSG in Paris the next season (or was it the season after?).
Statistically, though, Rosenborg does definitely have a better record -- particularly in the qualifiers. So I think we're a better team and should win the cumulative, but I don't expect it to be easy. Maybe comparable to meeting Red Star last year? |

i dont think that it will be easy to beat maccabi haifa..
if israel beat farnce 3-2 in france ,maccabi haifa can beat rbk in norway
but i want 2-2 or 1-1 it is graet resault!
i`m waiting for the game ,hope that it will not being cold there
40000 fans in the second game
give just 2-2 in the first game! |
