Davy Wathne and the TV2 Zebra team analysed the play from the HamKam game, it would see Kvarme was highlighted as poor defending, what do you guys think of him as you seem him most weeks?
They also covered the SK Brann match, they highlighted the partnership between Saeternes and Winters, RBK don't seem to have forged a strike pairing as yet which may answer the lack of goals. |

Kvarme isn't the greatest anymore, but I consider Riseth and Basma to be the biggest problems. |

I'd agree to that. That Kvarme did a poor game, was surprising, but hardly something we wil see a lot of... _________________ "Engang en ret forvoven Jyde

Kvarme has been okay until the match against HamKam where he was completely ridiculed by HamKam's Abiodun. |

How old is Riseth, he does seem to lack pace these days. |

Riseth is 34 years old.
Did you see him when he played for Celtic? |

Yes, his stay here was brief with Celtic. He was part of the Celtic team living in the shadows of Rangers glory years of nine premier league titles in a row , Rangers funnily enough with Brann's Charlie Miller in the midfield.
Riseth never had natural pace but did an ok job, Celtic's star at the time was Lubomir Moravcik but the team was always runner up to Rangers and they changed coaches often. Bratbakk also had a rather average stay with Celtic, both returned to Norway without having won what they would have hoped.
I just hope the transition period for RBK doesn't last as long as Celtic's did in the 90's, nine years without a Title, Cup or European football even woiuld be hard to take after so much recent success. |

I think pace is one of Riseth's strengths. One of very few. Maybe not compared to attackers (where he played before), but compared to most defenders. |

I'm looking forward to the Brann game already, hopefully we'll be ready for the game as it could be a difficult match. It's on TV2 is it? If so, i can get it.
Wish i could read Nyorsk though, feel like i'm missing out on all the pre-match discussion. I can learn though, hopefully if i get my placement i'll be able to pickup the language quick enough. |

Rosenborg don't use 2 strikers, they play 4-3-3 with one striker and to wingers. |

sure.. it's even more than 6 months, the series ends in october and uefa-matches starts in july. which is long enough to change the strength of the teams, so norway seldom send their best teams out in europe.
well, whatever, doesn't seem like we need to worry about european cup for a while. |

Do I sense pessimism there? We're in the running for the 3rd spot, which means UEFA Cup qualification. Sure it's not Champions League, but a return to Europe after a dramatic season isn't that bad. _________________ Rosenborg, forever pride of the North!

Not winning the craptacular Norwegian league = catastrophe for most RBK supporters, including me. |

I don't know about that. Given that Rosenborg isn't back up to the old form and probably won't be for some time, I will only really be disappointed with anything less than fourth place in the league. That doesn't mean I've given up on hoping for the gold, or that I think RBK should give up trying to retake first place, though...
But anything less than a Royal league slot will be a disappointment, because the team has occasionally shown great quality. _________________ "Engang en ret forvoven Jyde

Rosenborg had a stranglehold on the league leader, but lost it as the game progressed.

Oh well, we haven't cut the gap at the top however given our form and Brann's a draw wasn't a bad result.
There are positives from the performance too which is good. |

Too many games in the first half of the season yielded only one point. This fall Rosenborg are going to start winning again.

Led by an eager Daniel Braaten RBK begun the fall season very well.

It should be noted that the way Viking played today they are an obvious candidate for relegation. I'm not certain everything is well yet. But I cannot complain. |

Great result and i think we're on the right track especially given that RBk should have beaten the leaders Brann not so long ago.
Nice to see Braathen in fine form. |

Hi, I haven't posted here for a while, sorry for that but I was just curious what the teams performances have been like this season? Could we be doing better than the league placing suggests? |

We haven't played particularly well so far this season. In our last game against Viking we played in a 4-5-1 formation, which was successful, but not very interesting to watch. Actually I think it's a wonder that we are in third place, if you keep in mind how poorly we have preformed over the fist half of the season.
Many of us hope that we will sign new players now that the tranfer window is open(1 July - 1 August) _________________ Sliter
