"They are a classy team, they pass the ball particularly well and are much fitter than us," added Baxter.

"We have to stick to our game plan, frustrate them as long as possible and we'll see what the last 30 minutes has to offer."

“We gave them a good run for their money for an hour before we began to run out of gas. It’s hardly surprising because we were only back training a couple of weeks before the game and competed in only one pre-season friendly.”

Baxter has a number of injury worries ahead of the tie, with Timmy Adamson, Nathan Hanley and Sean Cleary the doubts.

He added: “Timmy is suffering from a little ankle sprain and Nathan is having a bother by a knee injury. Sean also took a hit on the knee. They all travelled to Norway, so we’ll assess them before the game.”

Baxter said the scoreline failed to reflect the balance of the play.

"I thought we played fantastically well but we are disappointed at the number of goals scored against, at least three of which should not have happened.

"Their finishing was clinical and there is a gulf in class between the teams but Jordan scored the goal of the game as well as missing an easy chance and we were punished for making a few mistakes. They play at a high tempo on their big pitch but I was pleased with our commitment, work ethic and the level of performance."
